Admiration of Edward.

My hubby called me today to tell me about an article that my BIL had mentioned to him. It was on Meridian magazine's website. The author of the article praises the character of Edward Cullen for his many admirable traits. (which most of us know about already). Anyway I thought it was very well-written and I wanted to share it with you all. Clickity here if you are interested in reading it.

C'mon you know you want to read it. Go read. Now. I insist.

And this I posted just to make you smile.

The part where Carlisle has to convince Edward to stop in the movie actually really bugged me. I like how he is completely in control in the book. There *is* nobody to stop him and he has to consciously make the choice to save her and put her needs before his own desires. It is the ultimate test for him and the ultimate "proof" to her of his dedication to keeping her safe -- and human. I was disappointed that "movie Edward" had to rely on Carlisle. But them's the breaks ;)

I haven't seen the movie yet but I think that article nailed it about a man's burning passion in light of a woman's need to fully open to her sexuality. It took us thirty years to finally come to the point where we equally enjoyed sex. Hang in there girls.

You mean I have to wait 16 more years?? ;)

Janelle-I know what you mean about Carlisle having to stop Edward in the movie. I was bugged by that as well. I do like the author's take on that part though.
