Wounds and blackouts

~Last night Brady was climbing on the chair to play at the computer when he slipped and banged the side of his head on the desk. His ear was red and swollen...today it is black and blue. :(

~I was playing the computer last last night when suddenly I was plunged into darkness. I looked outside and the whole neighborhood was pitch black. I made my way to the cupboard where we keep our flashlights without bumping into any walls. (always a good thing) I left the smaller flashlight lying on the dresser, pointed towards the hallway so the kids had some light. I opened Camden's door so I could hear him since the monitor wouldn't work. I was almost asleep when I was startled by the bright light of my lamp. I turned off the flashlight and started drifting back to sleep only to be awakened by Brady asking for his milk. It was 2:00 before I fell asleep and Camden was up bright and early at 6:30. *sigh* I'm a wee bit tired.

Poor baby! I'm glad no broken bones, though or anything more serious. Hope his hear gets better soon.

And yes, I agree with Flee (that sounds funny, lol) -- you are looking like a hot mama in your new profile pic! :)

awww my poor little guy! Wounds always hurts the most on the ear (to me anyway), so I can sympathize! And no sleep? Gosh, girl.. we need to have a slumber party and call it Sleepers Deprived Anonymous or something!

Sabrina fell down while playing "ghost" under my huge blanket the other day. I thought she was just being a whiner... but an hour or so later I noticed the cherry-sized lump on her chin. Poor kid! I hate it when they do that! Hope he feel better soon!!
And kudos to you for knowing where the flashlights are. I gotta double check those....

Poor sad little ear! :(

My hubby man has a permanent owie in the exact same place! Years ago he was working on the car and hit the side of his head HARD on the jack stand. It sliced his ear deep and bled like crazy. After it healed, it formed a ginormous bump thing, which he had surgically removed. It grew back even bigger than before! It hurts him whenever I cut his hair and touch it with my comb or clippers...awww, poor baby! ;)

So, the "junk" drawer in our house is in my nightstand which also happens to be where we keep the flashlight. I don't know if I could find it in the dark with everything else that has ended up in that drawer.

Congrats on being so organized that you could find the flashlight. Way to go, girl!

I hate it when the lites go out. I'm always freaked a lil more even though it's dark when we go to bed anyway...
