Ya'll Can Keep the Change!

I'm sure that most of you know that my political views are on the libertarian/conservative side. I believe that the government is accumulating way too much power. I'm very worried about this great country of mine.

The songs in these videos are sung by country singer Darryl Worley. He expresses my sentiments exactly! The first video is about his frustration with the government and our current leaders, the second video is about 9/11.

Summer Fun and Back To School!

Last Friday I took the kids to a splash pad for the "last" day of summer. It's fun and it's free! (two of my favorite words) :)
The kids had a blast! Savvy slept the whole time which made it easier to keep track of Camdy.

Josh and Brianna started school on Monday. They were both very excited..I hope the excitement lasts for awhile. Brady misses them and he counts the hours until we pick them up. I'm glad they are in school but it's hard not having their help every day.

I teared up looking at this picture...they both look so grown up. When did that happen? :(

It's my birthday and I'll geek out if I want to!

I'm geeking out over a new road that is open near my house. It makes my travels SO much smoother and faster. I lurves it lots.

Today I'm 33 years old...4 years older than my "29" year old sister. (who was born in 1962!)

I've had 33 people wish me a happy birthday on Facebook..now I feel popular.

Hmmm..I have no other fact that has the number 33 in it. Lame. I guess that is all.

First day of school post coming soon! For the kids, not me. :)

Update Time

See this pretty girl? Next week she will be 1 month old! Why does time go by so fast? It's freaking me out!

Savvy is doing so well. She was a few ounces short of her birth weight last week so the doctor asked me to bring her back. She's gained 8 ounces in the past week. Now she weighs 6 lbs,14 oz. She is a great sleeper too,she sleeps for 5-7 hour stretches a lot of the time.

I'm doing well for the most part. I still have a few hives that won't go away and now I have them around my mouth. :-( The good news is that I'm still losing weight so I'm trying to focus on that point. :-)

Josh and Bri start school in a few weeks and they are excited. I'm excited too but I will be sad to lose my helpers. Brady said he would be my helper now,so that helps a little bit. ;-)

Adam has been in school for almost a year now, which means he has just under 2 years left to go. It seems like an eternity sometimes but I'm proud of him for going back to school.

My Sweet Savannah

We left for the hospital at 4:30 on Monday morning. As usual I was excited to see the baby but nervous about the surgery. All went well and before I knew it,I heard her cry. The first thing I realized was that she had a great set of lungs. The second thing was that she would be my smallest baby. I thought for sure that she would be around 8 lbs but she was just a tiny little girl. The doctors told me that my tubes were still tied so she really was just meant to be in our family. This time they took out pieces of my tubes so I REALLY better be done now. :)

Around Tuesday,my calves and feet started swelling up. I had the same problem with my last 2 babies so it wasn't a big surprise when it happened again. Then I developed a yeast infection around my upper legs and lower belly. Again,I had been through this before. I mentioned it to my doctor who prescribed diflucan. I took one before I left the hospital and one the next day, which was Saturday. I woke up that night wheezing and having trouble catching my breath. The next day my SIL,Jan came over to check on me and brought the equipment to check my vitals. They were normal so Jan thought I might have an infection and told me to call my doctor the next day. Then my FIL and BIL gave me a blessing which made me feel so much better.

My mom came over to help me out on Monday and she watched the kids while I went to the doctor. Long story short,he didn't know what was causing my wheezing and sent me to the hospital for a chest x-ray. It was negative and I was relieved that it wasn't really serious. I called Jan later that day because I developed hives and started itching everywhere. I asked her if she thought it could be an allergic reaction to something and we realized the diflucan was the only new medicine I had taken. She looked up the side effects online and a few people reported having a bad reaction to it. The effects were shortness of breath, wheezing, itching, swelling and hives and I had them all. Needless to say,no more diflucan for me.

I'm feeling much better today. My mom and my sister Sherry have been over a lot to help me out and the swelling in my feet is almost gone. Savannah is doing so great! She eats well and she slept for two 4 hour stretches last night. (I hope I didn't just jinx myself) The kids love her so much and they are adjusting really well. I'm truly blessed.

Here is a picture of my sweet girl and I'll post more later.

What the heck?

I was shopping in the baby section of Target today. At the end of one of the aisles,I see some small packages of diapers. As I look closer I realize that they are Pampers Designer Diapers by Cynthia Rowley.

"Only $15.99 for 26 diapers! What a bargain!"

Except not really, considering I had a box of 84 diapers for Camden for $19.

It seems like a big waste to me for a few reasons.

~These diapers won't make the poop prettier.

~They won't make the poop smell better.

~There is nothing designer about poop.

The End.
