I love...

..Aruba Coconut from Bath and Body Works - This lotion is heaven in a bottle. I've always been a sucker for coconut scents but this lotion is divine!

..my new sandals - They are cute and comfy..and I just love them. (just ignore my cankles and focus on my pretty toes,mmkay?)

..Great Lash Lots of Lashes - Best mascara ever..just got better.

..NYC Liquid Lip Shine in peach sparkle - This lip gloss is perfect..hint of shimmer with natural looking color. Sooo pretty.

Savvy and I are wearing the lip gloss. Well,I am..I think Savvy licked hers off.

..Pepsi Next - I love my pepsi...a lot. I had to cut back on soda when I started losing weight. With Pepsi Next,I still get my fix but for half the calories. Genius...thank you, Pepsi company.

..Wienerschnitzel's chili cheese fries - I've loved these since I was a teenager. I worked at Wienerschnitzel for a few months and I probably gained about 10 lbs from eating this delicious fry concoction. No lie.

..strawberries - they have always been my fave fruit and always will be. I can't get enough of these lately. YUM.

Friday funnies: Hunger Games edition

Let's get a little mellow

I'm trying to be calm.

Adam finished up his school bidness..and we owe them a big chunk of money because he transferred credits.

Lame.

No job offers yet.

Double lame.

Adam is pretty down about it. Which is understandable. It's difficult because he is a glass half-empty person. I'm the opposite. My glass is always half-full and I'm all, "Yay! I'm drinking that deliciousness!"

I'm trying to remain positive and think good thoughts because that's the person I strive to be. It's not always easy when your other half is a negative nelly.

3 positive things for today -

1. My kids and Adam and I are all healthy.

2. I have a GNO this weekend.

3. The movie Little Manhattan was delivered from Netflix today.

BONUS - I made this cake for a family party last night. Very few people appreciated it. My (almost) 11 year old nephew did...and he rocks.

The night that the lights went out in Utah

My original plans for this evening was to watch these flicks

(I just realized that Josh,Brendan and Tom are all climbing. That's kinda cool...like a really terrifying race)

And then the power went out at 4:30. When my kids came inside there was much wailing and whining. Apparently without electricity,life is NOT worth living.

What I did instead..

read The Hunger Games on my Kindle Fire while snuggling a sleepy Savvy Gracie

played outside with the kids while Adam mowed the amazon jungle grass.

PET PEEVE - we live in a duplex so we share our yard with another family. This family has a dog...which is fine and dandy. But when you share your yard with someone,it's just common courtesy to pick up the dog poop,especially when it's on your neighbors side of the yard. Especially if those neighbors mow most of the lawn because they own a gas powered mower and you own a reel mower. And especially if those neighbors are pretty awesome. END OF VENT

After the power had been out for 3 hours, I decided a trip to Wal-Mart was in order since we didn't have batteries or flashlights and it was getting dark. While there,Adam decided to look at baseball equipment since our oldest really wants to play baseball. My kids decided to entertain themselves by trying on baseball helmets.

So...much...cuteness.

We stopped at Wendy's on the way home to pick up dinner. When we arrived home,the power was back on. Hallelujah!

Then I ate dinner too late and I didn't work out. Oh,the shame.

Some of the random stuff that amuses me.

~Adam and I went and saw The Hunger Games last weekend. (for those of you keeping track,it was viewing #6 for me) There is a part in the movie where one of the muttations (a.k.a. huge and vicious dogs) jumps out of the bushes. The first time I saw the movie,I was startled. but after repeated viewings,I know EXACTLY when it's going to happen so I can be chill. Apparently most of the people in our row were not prepared. the woman next to Adam almost kicked her box of treats all over his lap. and the woman next to me kicked the railing so hard that I felt the vibration. I thought I would be thrown out of my seat when they jumped..and then I started laughing with them at them.

~Every time my phone rings,Camden's says "Yes! I love the creepy whistle!"

~The Big Bang Theory..enough said.

~Supernatural's gag reels. Hi-lar-ious!

~Mah girl-frennnns,IRL and online. I <3 you all.

~Tumblr with it's goofy and random internet memes and gifs. I am so easily amused by such things as "Where's Finnick? Odair he is!" and "Peeta! Peeta! Who turned you into berries?!!" so dumb but I still get a kick out of them. and unfortunately I think of them during the movie and it makes me laugh at inappropriate times.

Things I like..and things I don't

Things I like -

~I've lost another pound...now 26 lbs are gone! Hasta lasagne!

~Adam and I have really decent credit scores now...which will make buying a house a lot easier. (when the time comes..hopefully in the next year)

~Date night this weekend,followed by GNO next weekend! I love having things to look forward to! (and yes,my girlfriend and I will more than likely see THG..so what?)

~Adam is finished with his classes! He officially graduates in June! WOOOOOOOOT!

~The mockingjay call is my new ringtone..and I love it!! but Josh hates it...he says it creeps him out. So,naturally Brianna turns up the sound on the computer and plays it over and over. I can't imagine where she gets that teasing streak from...I really can't.

Things I don't like -

~Savvy's identity might have been compromised during a security breach at the county health dept. Grrrrr...stupid hackers! I want to smack them,tie them to a chair and make them watch Fred: the show over and over again. Then they will know true torture.

~I woke up to the sounds of Savvy puking..while lying in my bed..after drinking a sippy cup of milk. *GAG*

~Freaking huge mutated black spiders just hanging out in my bathtub. NOT COOL. "Spider go down the hole! Buh bye spider."

~I've only worked out a few times in the last 2 weeks. Fail. (good news..Adam will be home so I can go to ZUMBA tonight)

Easter Happenings!

On Saturday I went to a baptism for my great-nephew. Afterward,we all headed over to the parents house to enjoy some noms and have an egg hunt for the kids. There are a lot of young kids so it's chaos but it's a fun kind of chaos..mostly.
