Party and Pumpkins

Yesterday my family and I went to a birthday party for my grandpa. He will be 95 years old in a few weeks. It was so awesome to see all of the family and friends who came to see my grandpa. My mom and her siblings sang "Silver Haired Daddy of Mine" and then all of the family sang "Families Can Be Together Forever". Sadly,I forgot my camera so I don't have any pictures.

After the party and after much begging, pleading and wailing,we went to my parents house to get the pumpkins for the kids. My dad grew the pumpkins during the year and every time we went over to visit, the kids would immediately go outside to see how big the pumpkins were. My dad bought a pumpkin carving kit for the kids as well. When we got home, the kids picked out the designs they wanted and Adam (being the great daddy that he is) carved them. It took him almost 4 hours to finish them all. It was worth it though because they turned out awesome! WTG Adam!

I love the pumpkin hats!

And I can't believe your dad grew those. Our pumpkins came out tiny and misshapen this year.

Maybe we should have watered them.

We were able to shop Grandma's and Grandpas pumpkin patch this year as well.. It's been a blessing since we are jobless! :)

DARLING designs!

We carve pumpkins each year. Fun times. I also roast all the seeds. Yummy.

I miss those fun days when my little kids were young an anxious to carve pumkins. We had some fun times, back then. But we have some fun times now too. We have our traditional holidays and cookouts and birthday parties, so I should just be happy for what I have now, right? Right!
