You will not tempt me Billy Mays!

I don't know if any of you all have noticed, but every commercial break on Nickelodeon contains an ad trying to sell something. Usually it's Billy Mays getting all up in my bidness. Brianna constantly tells me that "I need to buy *that* now. It's only *this much* but wait that's not all!!" Bri likes these commercials so much, that she gets upset if I change the channel and says,"Hey I watching that!" The other day she told me that if I buy a Big City Slider Station,I will never miss a call again. (The call part is from the Buxton organizer commercial) If she had her way,I would be in my snuggie, making sliders and wearing my buxton organizer while fixing a broken pan with mighty putty.

I will try to comment when I can,I promise! Now I have to get this posted before my internet goes down. Hugs 'n smooches!

All I want for Christmas is my two front teeth!

Joshua's two bottom teeth have been loose for over a month now. He has driven me nuts asking over and over when they are going to come out. So today I was looking at them (yet again) and I noticed that his permanent teeth were coming in behind the baby ones. So I called the dentist and we went in this afternoon and got them pulled.

Joshua + laughing gas = funny!!

Here is some of his conversation with the dental assistant..

Josh - "You know what I'm gonna be when I grow up? I'm gonna be a chef. I'm going to own a Chinese restaurant. I'm not gonna be a server because I'm the cooker. One side of the restaurant will be Chinese stuff and the other side will have games. Not like Chuck E Cheese but different games. I'm not going to eat the food though because I don't like Chinese food. Now I'm gonna get permanent teeth right? And those won't fall out because my mom said that Heavenly Father created our bodies and made sure we would only lose our baby teeth. and guess what? I'm going to be 7 after Christmas which means I will be in a CTR 7 class.

Assistant - "What will happen when you turn 8?"

Josh - "I'll be a CTR 8."

Assistant - "What else will happen?"

Josh - "I'll get baptized! NO! That is just mean to hold kids under water!"

(I'm hoping after his cousin's baptism he will realize it's not like a drowning. Hubs and I have tried to explain it many times but to no avail.)

Now Josh is so excited because the tooth fairy will be coming tonight and then Santa is coming tomorrow! What more could a kid ask for?

Mmm..mmm...mmm..

"I love when my sister disobeys mommy and gives me cocoa puffs!"

I'm dreaming...

...of a white Christmas! This storm is crazy! I bet there is at least 8 inches of snow outside.

Although I'm so glad we will have snow for Christmas. I just hope everyone will get home safe tonight, the roads are really bad. Too bad it can't just snow on the grass huh?

So sweet!

I went to Josh's Christmas program this morning. It was so cute to see all of the kids singing and dancing. His grade sang "I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas". I got a picture of him as he was going back to class.

Then he came home this afternoon in the middle of this..

...and told me I could open the present he made for me at school earlier this week. I opened it up and it was this darling ornament!

It is Josh's handprint and he made a snowman out of each of his fingers. So dang cute,he was so excited to give it to me. Receiving homemade gifts is one of the best parts of being a mom! So fun!

Tag: I am..

Chelle tagged me so here we go..

i am... tired.
i live ... in an apartment in my IL's house.
i have... an abundance of blessings.
i haven't... been to the temple in a long time.
i need... to do more for other people.
i wish... I had enough money to help anyone who needs it.
i try ... to have patience with my kids.
i could... do more activities with my family.
i fear... something bad happening to members of my family.
i want... to be with my family for eternity.
i hear... the laughter of a baby and I can't help but smile.
i will... read my scriptures more often.
i read... for enjoyment.
i like... watching people do courteous things for one another.
i admire... someone who goes out of their way to make someone else comfortable.
i admit... I eat way too many sweets.
i search... for too many things online.
i think... a sense of humor is one of the most important traits a person can have.
i do ... enjoy scrapbooking.
i don't... want my kids to have low self- esteem.
i regret... a few things.
i love... too many people and things to mention.
i ache ... when my children hurt.
i work ... to take care of my family every day.
i help ... when I see a need.
i pray ... for those who are hurting.
i cry when... my emotions take over.
i am not... difficult to get along with. (right?)
i never... will deny that Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ exist.
i always ... tell my kids and hubby that I love them.
i rarely... fight with others.
i miss ... my old friends.
i don't miss ... junior high..that was a bad time.
i get nervous ... when I am the center of attention.
i watch... too much tv.
i hate... hearing about people who have hurt children.
i am confused ... as to why I have been so blessed.
i need...to feel appreciated.
i should... spend quality time with my kids more often.
i can ... raise my kids in the gospel.
i can't... listen to my kids whine for very long. ;)
i will... serve others more.
i won't ... be selfish.
i feel... God's love for me.

As Brady would say..Ki'mas stuff!

Here is my decor...Don't say I didn't warn you Millie!

You may have noticed something missing from the tree. "But Stacey, where are the ornaments?" you ask. Well I don't have a lot because some have been broken the last few years. Since my two year old is a stinker,I decided to save the breakable ones until my kids are older. I bought some new ones but I really don't want to put them on this year. So just imagine these....

...on my tree along with some purple and silver bows, umkay?

Oh and don't be jealous of my white trash window cover.

Our awesome stockings...My SIL is still working on Camden's. It's so great of her to make these for the whole family! :)

I'm not fat,I'm"festively plump".

I haven't been commenting much lately. I've gained weight and I'm feeling pretty down about it. I swore I would not buy new pants because of the size I have to buy. I bought two shirts yesterday but it was hard to find anything cute in my size that wasn't expensive. Clothes are definitely not made for the short, plump woman. Apparently if you are plus size, you are supposed to be tall. I wish someone had mentioned that fact to me.

All of the holiday treats around aren't helping either. I wish we had a gym membership again but alas we don't have the money for it. I'm sure I'll snap out of it,I just hate having no willpower. Blah.

Gingerbread Houses!

My SIL came over today and brought stuff to make gingerbread houses. The kids were so excited and we all had fun making them. Thanks for coming over Jan! :)

EDITED TO ADD: I forgot to post a few funny things Josh said while we were making the houses. Josh said he was doing such a good job because he's an "artist" and while explaining how the icing was made,he said,"you make it by taking the juice of an egg and some white powder and mixing it together". That's my funny kid! :D

Here are the masterpieces....

Josh's is on the left,Bri's is in the middle,Brady's is on the right, mine is the one in back.

Does that shirt make me look fat? Nope,my body and face does. MOO..

Is it just me?

Am I the only one who has issues making crescent rolls? Every time I open a can, half of the rolls tear in the wrong place. Then I end up with lumps of dough that kind of resemble a crescent if you squint really hard.

Oh well,at least they are edible.

What the ???

My oldest was on tv this morning. His school was featured on the news and his grade was performing a song with the principal. So the segment comes on and I see my cute boy in the middle sitting in a great spot. I think,"Wow,that's awesome! I will be able to see him really well!" So then what happens?

The principal sits in between the kids, right in front of my child!!! I saw him peek around the principal a few times and then give up. :(

Oh well,at least I saw him for a little bit.

But it's so fun!

My two year old and four year old have a fun winter game they like to play indoors. They chase each other around the house all day long. When the chaser catches the chasee, they punch the chasee. Then they switch so there is equal opportunity hitting. The game continues until..

A.Mommy catches and separates them.

B.Daddy yells three or four times and then finally grabs one child as they pass by daddy's computer chair.

C.One of them makes the other scream bloody murder and mom loses it,locks them in their room and eats some chocolate.

The End.

I took temporary leave of my senses yesterday and I bought a package of play-doh for the kids. Brianna noticed it in the cart and asked to play with it after we arrived home. So I got out the trays and play-doh cookie cutters and the kids start making their works of art. Out of the blue Brianna says,"Wow,I just love this Play Doh so much! Thanks for buying it for us mommy! Now my life is complete."

So there you go! Head on over to Target, pick up some Play-doh and your life will be complete too.
