Bruised and Blue

Here is the bruised..

Brady elbowed me in the eye last night when I was moving him to his bed.

And the blue is how I feel today. Lately Josh has been really worried about people breaking into our house. Last night he asked me, "What if people break into our home and shoot us?" It saddens me that he has these fears. I've always told my kids that when they are scared, they can pray to Heavenly Father and that will probably help them because it helps me. That made them feel better.

I'm also blah today because I woke up with a head cold,so I'm worn out and sleepy. I've been pigging out all day too. Feed a fever, pig out with a cold.

On the plus side you can totally skip the make-up on one eye!
Yikes! It's interesting the fears kids come up with. And sometimes really sad too. Lizzie still wakes up most nights scared and tries to sneak into our bed. Since I've been sleeping on the recliner in the living room (can't stand to lie completely flat quite yet) she'll come in and squeeze into the chair with me until I chase her out!
Good luck with the head cold. If you're really miserably congested try eating some scrambled eggs (or whatever, really) with as much cayenne pepper on it as you can stand. It thins the mucus and clears congestion naturally. Just have a box of tissues handy!

Janelle's right, I've been downing the spicy tomato juice over here - Seems to be helping. Feel better soon.
